Yes, we sell gorgeous baby and childrens clothes and other gorgeous items for children at fantastic prices, with shipping based on item weight (as soon as you 'add to cart, your shipping estimator will appear).  And, just to let you know, all our clothes and other items are brand spanking new...
 
ABOUT US UPDATE - JULY 2008 - What a long way we have come since the start.  We closed our 'physical' childrenswear shop in February 2008, run brilliantly by Tina, as our Landlord served notice of re-development, so now we see our 'physical' customers at various venues in the Colchester, Essex and surrounding areas.  We have just done our latest Fashion Show at a local exhibition and the children (about 30 of them) were absolutely brilliant - none of them professionals but what professionals they turned out to be... 
Our appointment system works really well, so do call us to make an appointment if that would be helpful.
We are still looking for a new shop - but it has to be the right one, so watch this space.
 
We have also changed the profile of the business, based on customer feedback, so that we now offer extraordinary value present season designer and fine brand childrens clothing alongside brilliant value discounted and past season designer clothing for kids - and far better than the big label small price offerings of some, in our opinion... Our selected eclectic childrenswear ranges are now, in the main, timeless classics for children provided by well known and loved independent childrenswear manufacturers.  With the issue of ethical trading of paramount importance, we offer high quality items from suppliers who pride themselves in issues of fair trade and fair labour.  We will never be the cheapest around for baby and childrens clothes but you have to weigh up all the factors, don't you? Quality, durability, how does it wash, does every child have one and so on... We encourage our customers to 'pass items down and around' as traditionally used to be the case - and certainly our items are able to stand that test of time. 
 
Our childrens formal and special occasion wear department, which started on a very small scale, has proven to be hugely popular and we supply christening gowns and rompers etcetera, naming day clothing, Holy Communion dresses, bridesmaids and pageboy outfits for children from birth to age 10 and we now ship them all over the world. We are accredited stockists of various leading brands of special occasion clothing for babies and children and we offer a pricematch on these items too, for those genuine and rare occasions we come across an e-tailer selling at prices below those recommended by the supplier. 
We continue to offer the other brilliant design led products for children that you know and love, so don't leave wihtout checking our all our categories - Kaloo toys and nursery items, Kit Heath Kids jewellery, wooden toys, nursery items and so much more.

OCTOBER 2005:A Personal Note - I think the funniest book that could ever be written, would be about this business.  Probably called something like ' From There To Here - So Many Laughs!'  I'm laughing just thinking about it - the lease that took 8 months longer than it should have - the house whereby every spare space acquired a box (or five) - the christmas tree made by the children from 'stock' boxes complete with baubles and a fairy - the major cleaning job on the house when the boxes went  - and actually the list is endless!  And if you didn't laugh you would cry, which would not do at all!
...That was so long ago now - and it's still as crazy as ever but still loving every minute...(Nov 07)
Should you like to know our plans for you, here goes....The Beginning - John and I (Paula) are founder directors and we have six children between us between age 2 and 19.  So you can imagine we have done our fair share of buying for children (and still do!).  I love it  - more than I love buying for me (well nearly!) but we decided (that is I did in my usual democratic fashion) that we would take our vast experience as consumers, couple it with our busines know-how, turn it all around and use our 'time served' experience to benefit our customers.  We have super buyers who all have children or know lots about children and clothing .  We travel the world to buy and to promote the business and we totally enjoy what we do - every day!  We decided on a department boutique - that is to say - the full shaboodle as you can see - & with further expansions planned - watch this space!
Where Are We & What Do We Do - Our shop is in Essex, UK.   (Opportunity...  If you are in the UK, are as passionate as we are about designer childrenswear and other wonderful items for childrens and parents - and if you love our items, get in touch with us to discuss opportunities.  Our website is truly international - we buy from, sell to and visit 'the four corners' to check out what's happening. The centre of our world began with designer and couture clothing ranges for children and we have branched out from this to include other departments that are equally suited to help us achieve our mission.  We stock items for all seasons - the 'April Showers' here in the UK, could last all year round!!!  You will always find a rain coat on this site! - but also always a swim suit!

What do we stock?
We operate on the principal that we must all love and agree on the items we buy - we don't just buy designer childrenswear because the item is branded by a particular designer - (real 'horrors' can come from any design house is the reality!).  We stock clothes that follow the trends, in advance of the trends - we try to find the trend makers (that really is a million dollar question,  but we try our best! )   We also stock childrens designer clothes if they buck the trend - as long as they meet our strict buying criteria, we will place our faith in the design houses and their designs.  We look for designerwear that is 'not everwhere' - we want to bring beautiful clothing for babies and children from premature babies / early babies / low birthweight babies / boys and girls that is exclusive to our boutique area and that, in turn, we hope our internet customers will love too.  We have excellent exclusive arrangements with our design houses and this helps us to maintain exclusivity in the boutique.
We also stock 'everyday' clothing ranges .  They are less expensive than the main designer brands we stock, but they are fabulous too! - it is important to us to offer items to suit every occasion and importantly every budget.
We offer a COUTURE design/made to measure MADE IN ENGLAND service .  Granted, this is most straightforward if we can meet you to discuss requirements/take measurements, however it can work at a distance.  Contact us if this is of interest to you.  
Our Christening Gowns and Christening Rompers are simply exquisite. True heirlooms can be purchases to pass from generation to generation.  We again try very hard to suit all budgets for the special day.  We have coordinating soft shoes for babies, posh shoes for little ones and all manner of accessories and outerwear to go with the special outfit.  We have introduced a COUTURE range of christening gowns and christening rompers, made with the most beautiful fabrics.  We post new items as fast as we can to the website, but they sell very quickly. We stock nursery items and items for parent to be , gifts for children, christening gifts, accessories, silver jewellery for boys and girls, costume jewellery for little girls, beautiful new baby gift baskets and baby gift sets , wrapping papers, tissue papers, tulles, gift bags and bows to go.  The pleasure is in the giving, so go on, splash out, and make it a real gift to remember!
Make your Own Gift Baskets/Boxes are extremely popular. Simply choose your basket or candystripe box and shop the site to fill it up!  Our baskets/boxes, for this purpose, are supplied with coordinating tissue paper, cello wraps or tulle,  curling ribbon and gift tag to add those extra special finishing touches.  The recipient can then use the beautiful box or basket afterwards as perhaps a 'memory' store - that first curl, first tooth, first picture, first painting done - in fact, first anything!
How Do We Operate?  We operate from our main boutique showroom in Essex, UK and from mobile boutiques in the UK.  We also operate on the world wide web.
